May 18 (Bloomberg) — Daiwa Securities SMBC Co., a venture owned by Japans second-biggest brokerage and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc., may acquire Close Brothers Group Plc s investment banking unit, two people familiar with the matter said.
